INTRODUCTION

Whole Life Consultants Ltd is a spin out company from the University of Dundee which embraces a culture of creativity, collaboration and flexibility amongst its staff. A contract research and consultancy founded in 2004, it specialises in labour forecasting, productivity improvement, whole life costing, sustainability assessment and risk based asset management. Its seven staff, most of whom have PhDs, include civil, mechanical and environmental engineers and computer programmers.

Due to continued expansion and the award of several major contracts from blue chip clients, an opportunity has arisen to employ a full time consultant economist.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be expected to play an active part in all the company’s activities and to engage personally with clients. Initially, she or he will be trained and engaged in labour forecasting, but will quickly move on to supporting activities in macro- and micro- economic analysis, labour strategy, whole life costing, sustainability assessment and productivity improvement. She or he will be responsible for background research, analysis of data, development and use of advanced IT tools, tender preparation, report writing and oral communication with clients. The successful candidate will be based in Dundee and supported throughout by a team of experienced and expert senior consultants and directors of the company.
