Professor Milan Radosavljevic is a Director of Whole Life Consultants Ltd (WLC). He joins the WLC Ltd board after more than three decades of leadership experience in industry and higher education. He brings to the company a combination of executive leadership, academic authority, and a working career rooted in the construction sector itself.
A Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Milan holds a PhD in Construction Management from the University of Dundee, which is also the academic home from which WLC was founded in 2004. He began his career in the private sector as Profit Centre Manager and subsequently Production Director in pre-cast concrete manufacturing in Slovenia, before moving into Higher Education.
Over the past decade he held executive roles at two UK universities. Most recently, as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Commercial) at the University of Sunderland, he led a commercial portfolio spanning home and international recruitment, the London and Hong Kong branch campuses, transnational education, research and innovation, commercialisation, and online learning. Prior to this, at the University of the West of Scotland, he served as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Engagement). Earlier academic posts at the University of Reading included School Director of Teaching and Learning and School Director of Enterprise at the School of Construction Management and Engineering.
His predominantly industry-led research and innovation portfolio grew in excess of £30 million, focusing on technology and management across construction and manufacturing. He has co-authored an authoritative textbook on construction management strategies and has delivered executive education in the UK and internationally.
Milan’s relationship with WLC Ltd pre-dates his directorship, more recently with his appointment as External Advisor. In his current role, he will contribute to the company’s research-led proposition, developing further opportunities, and extending its reach into new markets.
